Les Instants Vidéo Festival - Day 1

On November 5, 2010 the 23rd Instants Video Festival started. It's a video art festival that was taking place in many places including La Friche la Belle de Mai where I'm staying in the villa. It was very easy for me to attend all the screenings or most of them to be honest :) The screenings in La Friche le Belle de Mai began on the 10th and finished on the 14th.

The videos in the festival were divided into categories which was a very nice thing. The first video or the first category was about Palestine. The most video I liked was the first one actually. It's name was "Collapse" made by Basel Abbas (sound and music) and Ruanne Abou-Rahme (film and video). It is a video with archive footage of Palestine and the most famous Egyptian Actresses Faten Hamama and Souad Hosny. It was very interesting for me to see them both outside their movies dealing with Palestine.

Also there was this film with Pasolini in Palestine. I didn't understand it very well because it was in Italian and the subtitles were in French so I was trying to guess the words in English so that i can understand it in Arabic which was too hard for my brain :)

You can find more details about all the videos that were screened during the festival in its catalog.
